i love art, i love art with a message even more. political art that prompts conversation and art that make you probe through your own beliefs (like the dada movement) has always inspired me. this artist uses elaborate stencils and personal beliefs to create his own medium. please check out banksy when you get a chance. a phenominal artist and activist.

Art is severely underestimated. It's been suggested that the art created by Surrealists, like Dali, could have inspired the murder of the "Black Dahlia" because of the shapes her murderer(s) cut out of her skin. Disturbing indeed, but it illustrates the same point you are making. Check out Barbara Kruger. Her art complemented the feminist movement of the 80s.

WOW!!! This is the most interesting and original art I have seen in a very long time. Thanks for sharing. I love how he mixes old style paintings with modern messages mixed in. My favorite was the one of the beautiful park and then the sign that was asking for information regarding an incident.....or the one of the park and the cameras in the middle. -A :)

so there was a link problem ^

anyway, look up George Tooker's Government Bureau and Jose Orozco's Gods of the Modern World. hope you're inspired to probe away. a fun little fact, Orozco's mural is actually on the wall of a university.

you amaze me.
that picture amazes me.

I saw it at a local gallery near my home and I was instantly intrigued.
the price kind of turned me off, but apart from that, the theme it screamed was by far captivating.
I love the irony involved in both pieces.

Im more into still photography and urban retro scenery, so I'm sorry to say that I can't recommend any political artists, although my interest is that subject is increasing. ha, thank you :)
