I have only ever heard of four of those artists, i'll check the others out as i'm sure they write some deeply meaningful songs.

these days by Nico is a great song. My Art teacher told me to listen to it in the start of 08', told me I'd need to know this song. Glad I listened to him.

Brilliant idea. I already have a few of those songs but I will work on getting the rest. I can't wait to read your novel too, I've been waiting awhile for it. :)

there are several great songs and artists on that list, thanks for the suggestions to pair the book with...

just one thing, damien rice's song 'blowers daughter' is on his album 'O' rather than '9'. sorry to be that nitpicky person! ;-) (side note, i adore that song, it was my first dance song at my wedding) but '9', such a great album as well.

cannot wait to get my hands on the book, now i just need to find a store that has it...

congrats on becoming a published author, i can only imagine what a great feeling that is.

Your post reminded me of some of my discarded book content. :)

I’ve wished a time or two that we journeyed through life as if it were a musical. Because I think it would be fun to pause in the middle of our daily routines to gather with those around us and sing of our circumstances and dance for a bit, with miraculously known choreography, before returning to whatever is that we interrupted. Music can make an experience extraordinarily memorable and that is why Disney includes it on all its rides. Ask anyone who has visited a Disney theme park; they’ll be sure to tell you that it is a small world after all.

I’ve considered that perhaps more people would read the Bible if it came with a good sound track. If I was gifted in composing music I would create one because the time I most enjoyed reading the Bible was when I put on a Star Wars CD and began reading through battle scenes in the book of Joshua. Why is it that movies get brilliant sound tracks while books get nothing? It’s simply not fair and that is why I’m providing suggested songs to go along with each chapter of this book. Not that you have to listen to the songs, but I thought it would be nice to provide you with the option – to help make the experience extraordinarily memorable.

death cab for cutie, rogue wave, bloc party...nice choices. It's amazing how listening to music while reading brings out what the book is trying to say.

Hey Everyone,

I made a playlist for all to listen to on projectplaylist.com. I couldn't find all the songs, but I did get a good 3/4 of them, so enjoy! I just got Orphaned Anything's in the mail today and cannot wait to read to this music.

I would have added "Church Channel" by Say Anything to the chapter "There is a serene lullaby in chaos & ataxia. These sounds great though, man!
